The tasks set out in the operating rules of Baiona Dam were carried out, corresponding to the dam operation management, both for normal and extraordinary operation, in addition to the remaining duties assigned to the dam operation staff.
The functions to be performed by the operation manager were as follows:

Organisation of the staff under their responsibility and coordination of activities with external companies involved in the operation.

Supervision of the tasks assigned to the work teams.

Preparation and maintenance of work and incident reports, logs or workbooks, and other reports related to the tasks performed.

Communication to the staff under their responsibility of the importance and duty of carrying out the work in accordance with the operating rules and in safe conditions.

Problem solving and decision making in line with the general criteria established by Augas de Galicia.
In addition, the manager closely followed all instructions issued by Augas de Galicia staff and reported any incident and action related to dam operation.
Furthermore, the following key activities within the operation management are highlighted:

Preparation, implementation and monitoring of the dam inspection plan.

Preparation and implementation of the dam maintenance plan.

Continuous updating of the dam technical records.

Environmental management of the reservoir.
