The objective of the Basic and Execution Project for the “Bus Parking Area in Barreiros” is to adequately define and evaluate the works for their proper execution. The proposed solution aims to provide a waiting and stopping area for buses in San Cosme de Barreiros.
The space where the bus parking area is located is on the left side of the N-634 road, heading from San Sebastián to Santiago, in the Rúa da Vila de San Cosme de Barreiros, immediately after the intersection with Rúa de Neiga.
This is a central area of the town that serves all users. The established needs are specified in the placement of the following elements:
- Canopy
It is designed with a free height of 4.10 meters and has barriers to protect users from adverse weather conditions.
- Waiting Area
The planned waiting area is clearly differentiated from its surroundings. The material has a non-slip treatment and is equipped with waste bins, lighting, and benches for users of the canopy.
- Parking Area
The parking area must have enough capacity to accommodate at least one 15-meter-long bus, and its pavement is proposed to be made of concrete or asphalt.
