]]> AIN active has developed the work for the Redaction of the Construction Project related to the works on the Costa da Morte Highway between Carballo and Santa Irene.

The design and structural calculation of the following elements have been carried out:

  • 15 overpasses: generally, 2-span with a pier in the median of the highway and a double T prefabricated beam deck with lengths ranging from 40 to 65 meters.

  • 22 underpasses: 19 of them are of the portal type, 2 with double T prefabricated beams, and 1 consists of a prefabricated frame.

  • Viaducts:

    • Viaducto de Anllons: L = 170,00 m

    • Rego da Balsa: L = 32,50 m

    • Rego de Gatos: L = 247,50 m

    • Viaducto de Calvar: L = 179,00 m

    • Fornelos: L = 40,00 m

    • Viaducto Grande I: L = 98,00 m

Additionally, AIN active has carried out work related to alignment, drainage, fencing, and other complementary works in the section between Baio Norte and Berdoias.

The structures projected in this section correspond to 12 overpasses, 7 underpasses, and 5 viaducts.

]]> The total water conduction system at Río Avia consists of the following elements:

  1. Tunnel 1, Tunnel 2, and False Tunnel

  2. Siphon

  3. Tunnel 3 (L = 1.576.00 m)

  4. Pressure pipeline

  5. Surge shaft

Due to issues in the initial design and lack of maintenance in Tunnel 3, erosion occurred, leading to the displacement of existing material toward the turbines. This resulted in noise, broken lever arms, and erosion of turbine components, ultimately hindering their proper functioning.

AIN active developed the work for the Project Management and Supervision of the adaptation works for Tunnel 3 to enable pressurized water conduction in the Río Avia Hydroelectric Plant.

In general, the tasks consisted of:

  • Cleaning with high-pressure water and localized repairs to the walls in the affected areas.
  • Placement and compaction of sediments and materials on the bed.
  • Concrete pouring on the bed over a 900-meter stretch where it had not yet been applied.
  • Gallery lining in areas with material fall due to significant faults.
  • Construction of a gravel trap at the tunnel exit to serve as a material deposit.
  • Vault lining in areas showing a high degree of weathering.
  • Application of shotcrete on the gallery lining.
  • Installation of valves and spools.
