AIN active carried out a hydrological study of the watersheds surrounding the Huacata hydroelectric project with the following objectives:

Generation of a consistent 32-year series of daily natural flow rates in each of the watersheds, calibrated based on gauged flow rates.

Determination of flood flows for different return periods.
The process followed was as follows:

Digital terrain modeling and extraction of hydrological information using the ArcGis application and extensions such as ArcHydro, HEC-GeoHms, and ArcSWAT.

Geomorphological analysis of the watersheds.

Analysis of climatological information.

Flow rate study using the Visual Balan model.

Flood study using the HEC-Hms model.
Additionally, AIN active conducted a sedimentological study to estimate the number of years needed for the sedimentation of the reservoir.
